EHAP Workshops
EHAP workshops are a great way to start your initial EHAP training program on the right footing, or to hold a refresher training session that is interesting and informative. They are also a great way to save money on EHAP program enrollment fees.
TCIA-approved EHAP instructors are available to customize a workshop for small to large groups and to meet your objectives. They can help you implement the program with new trainees and provide annual refresher training for already qualified line-clearance arborists. Remember that only the employer can grant the actual certification (employer certification) due to OSHA’s on-the-job training requirement.
Depending on your needs, a typical workshop includes:
- EHAP Presentation
- Review of “Electrical Hazards and Trees” safety video
- Aerial Rescue protocol session
You may also customize by adding:
- Practical aerial rescue
- Test taking sessions
Check the current list of TCIA-approved EHAP instructors to find one located near you.
If you hold a workshop with as few as 10 employees, quantity discounts are available.
You need to contract with the approved instructor and be clear on what you would like accomplished. Some companies choose a one-day program, others hold a two-day workshop and complete the practical aerial rescue and may also start some of the chapter testing or complete the refresher testing.
Contracting with the TCIA-approved EHAP instructor is done independent of TCIA. Once a workshop is confirmed, you can order the discounted enrollments directly with TCIA.

Cancellation policy for workshops:
If you have registered for an EHAP workshop and are unable to attend, you may cancel up to 8 days prior to the workshop date with no penalty. If you must cancel within 7 days of a workshop, TCIA cannot refund the fee paid for lunch and refreshments. Please note, however, that workshop registrations are transferable so you may send someone in your place for no additional fee. Walk-ins will not be permitted.
